An alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Aligarh she has been working as a consultant obstetrician for 20 years at Ujala Medical Center Lucknow. She is a founder member of the Stillbirth Society of India and has played a key role in getting the society registered. Her other areas of interest are menopause, endoscopic surgery & High-risk pregnancy. She is a Credentialed IMS Menopause Practitioner and the Secretary of Lucknow Menopause Society. She has contributed chapters in many books. She is also a FOGSI-Manyata certified provider, mentor and assessor. The Jhpiego-FOGSI Private Sector Quality Improvement (PSQI) program was implemented in UP and Jharkhand with the support of MSD for Mothers to reduce maternal mortality. Her centre was a part of the pilot phase in 2015 and was recertified in 2018 with excellent scores.
