- She is the founder secretary of the Stillbirth Society of India. She completed her education at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh. She has 29 years of clinical and teaching experience.
- She has more than 100 papers in National and international journals and is a peer reviewer for many journals including BMJ case reports and Education for Health. She has one book to her credit and contributed chapters to many books.
- She is a passionate teacher and medical educator and is the lead faculty for conducting training for implementation of CBME curriculum through the MEU, India group. She has also contributed as the chief coordinator for the FOGSI Document on Learning Objectives.
- Her areas of Interest include Emergency Obstetric Care, Fetal Medicine and High Risk Pregnancy. She is a master trainer for EmOC, HIV-AIDS and a National Mentor for Quality Improvement in Health Care.
- She is a champion for Respectful Maternity Care and introduced Birth Companion in labor at her facility.
